Fire is fascinating to watch - every flame sparks the imagination. I happened to catch this one forming into a guy ready to jump.
These fireworks were shot at the International festival in Calgary Alberta. I wanted to show more of the abstract designs you see after the initial burst so I slowed down the shutter to see the way the light painted the sky.
This tree was in full bloom two weeks later in the middle of the dry season . We did not have any rain for 4 months up till then and it bloomed without rain.
