I have spent years travelling through the rocky mountains and have seen a few of these great birds but never gotten a good shot. This day I came upon two separate individuals a few miles apart that were very intent on hunting and I managed to spend a good hour between them. They can be seen hunting in the daylight where as a lot of owls hunt mostly at night . Fantastic to watch.

Mystery Slot Canyon

The slot canyons in Arizona hold some marvellous and exotic designs and colours. Using long exposures helps draw out the textures and colours. The further we went into the canyon and the more the light changed the more colours came out.

I have spent many days shooting these majestic birds as they migrate through Alberta. They are the ultimate flight design so I thought they fit a look like an aircraft.

The challenge - Elk sparring

These guys were sparring in the trees just outside of the Banff Springs Hotel. They were very aggressive and I saw the antlers dig into the elk on more than a few occasions. They were intent on each other but were also aware of how close I was, as you can see them watching me.

Sunset in Mykonos

One of the common activities in Mykonos is to sit and watch the sunset, just to take a moment to absorb all the beauty. We sat in a cafe and watched the sunset behind the boat.

These two fawns were not far from their mother and were out in the open early in the morning. It was very early morning and I quietly followed them around for about 30 minutes while mom kept me at a comfortable distance.
