I have spent years travelling through the rocky mountains and have seen a few of these great birds but never gotten a good shot. This day I came upon two separate individuals a few miles apart that were very intent on hunting and I managed to spend a good hour between them. They can be seen hunting in the daylight where as a lot of owls hunt mostly at night . Fantastic to watch.
